Create a statue in on day! Using wire, tin-foil and a 100% Cotton T-Shirt we will create an environmentally friendly statue that can be in your home or your garden! Paverpol is the #1 fabric hardener that is completely environmentally friendly and non-toxic. Create something from your imagination, a fairy, an angel, a woman holding a book or flowers, a man. Starting with a wire skeleton you will learn how to build up the body and head of your statue using tin-foil and masking tape, we will then use the T-shirt dipped in Paverpol to make your statue water tight and safe to go outside. Then using more of the T-shirt dipped in Paverpol we will create clothing using draping techniques in the class. Using other natural products we will give the statues hair, or a hat or a turban! If you are wanting fairy/angel wings we will make those, books or other accessories all will be made using cardboard and more T-shirt. Working all in one colour we will also use dry-brush and highlighting techniques to bring out the folds in the statues clothes. At the end of the class you will have a completed statue! The statue needs to cure inside out of direct sunlight for two weeks, and after that it is safe to go outdoors – even in our crazy Southern Alberta weather!
